Affiliate!
We welcome you
to submit a short summary of your thoughts and ideas on becoming an independent
K-BID Affiliate. Specifically we are interested in knowing what you foresee your
niche to be – please include the types of items you will focus on selling, a
general idea of how you plan to get access to these items and the location you
are considering.
Please recognize
that we are unable to accommodate everyone who would like to be a
K-BID
affiliate. We are generally interested in people whose focus will be machinery,
farm equipment, vehicles, business liquidations, etc. This is by no means a
comprehensive list, but rather an indicator of the types of items that sell well
on our site.
Affiliates are required to get an auctioneers license (simple
application made through your county of residence) and obtaining a $1000 bond
(approximate cost is $100), as well as their own credit card machine. It will
also be necessary to file with the Secretary of State’s office to get a state
tax id number as affiliates are responsible for the collection, filing and
payment of sales taxes.
After submitting your email to us we will review it
and respond to you within 10 days. If it looks like there may be a good fit
between us, we will ask you to come in to the auction center in Maple Plain,
Minnesota and discuss your plans in more detail.
